CUVAS operates under the CUVAS Act 2018. The Governor of the Punjab is Chancellor; a Pro-Chancellor supports the Chancellor in governance; and the Vice Chancellor is the principal executive and academic officer, responsible for ensuring that the Ordinance, Statutes, Regulations and Rules are faithfully observed.
Beneath that sit the statutory bodies — the Syndicate, the Academic Council and the Finance & Planning Committee among them. The Registrar acts as secretary to most of these bodies and as custodian of the university's records and Common Seal, while the Treasurer is answerable for its property, finances and investments.
