Campus life
Study tours, field campaigns and exhibitions — where the teaching actually lands.
Student activities
Study tours, field campaigns and industry exhibitions are a standing part of the calendar — these are the trips CUVAS students have actually made.
Study tour to one of Pakistan’s principal buffalo research facilities.
Visits to working livestock production centres.
Veterinary and animal science students ran a Lumpy Skin Disease awareness and vaccination campaign in the field.
Participation in one of the region’s major farmer exhibitions.
Attendance at Pakistan’s best-known livestock show.
Technical training visits to the Disease Diagnostic Laboratory and Water Quality Test Laboratory in Bahawalpur.
Why it is built this way
The Dean of Veterinary Sciences puts it directly: beyond lecture halls and practical laboratories, students are encouraged to sharpen management and leadership skills through co-curricular and extra-curricular activity, under the close mentorship of their teachers.
The vaccination campaign at Chishtian is the clearest example — students delivering a real disease-control intervention to real herds, which is exactly what the profession asks of them afterwards.
