Property, finances and investments

The Treasurer is a whole-time officer of the University appointed by the Chancellor, and is answerable for the financial management of the institution.

Responsibilities

• Manage the property, the finances and the investments of the University
• Prepare the annual and revised budget estimates and present them to the Finance & Planning Committee and the Syndicate
• Ensure that the funds of the University are expended on the purposes for which they are provided
• Perform such other duties as may be prescribed

The 14th Finance & Planning Committee met on 21 July 2026 to review the university's budget and development plans.
