Directorate of Animals Teaching & Research Centre
The Directorate of Animals Teaching and Research Centres runs the university's livestock units. These are not demonstration pens — they are working herds and flocks with real production records, which is what makes them useful for both teaching and research.
The core objective of the Directorate is to deliver hands-on, skill-based training aligned with modern livestock practices while promoting smart and sustainable agriculture. The center actively conducts research on precision feeding, dairy nutrition, and evaluation of novel agro-industrial by-products as alternative feed resources. In addition, it organizes farmer and youth training programs to disseminate improved livestock management practices across the Cholistan and wider Southern Punjab region.
