Custodian of the university's record

The Registrar is a whole-time officer of the University, appointed by the Syndicate on the recommendation of the Selection Board. The office is the administrative centre of the university's governance.

Responsibilities

• Custodian of the Common Seal and the academic records of the university
• Secretary to most of the university's statutory bodies
• Principal administrative liaison with government and external departments
• Oversight of all matters relating to university administration
• Such other duties as may be assigned by the Vice Chancellor
