Faculties
Nutrition, breeding, poultry, meat technology and rangeland — how animals are raised, improved and brought to market.
Faculty of Animal Production & Technology
Where the veterinary faculty treats animals, Animal Production & Technology is concerned with how they are bred, fed, housed, improved and turned into food. Its seven departments cover the full production chain.
Nutrition and Livestock Management handle what animals eat and how herds are run. Breeding & Genetics and Genomics & Bioinformatics work on the animals themselves. Poultry Sciences covers a sector of its own scale, Meat Technology follows the product to market, and Rangeland, Forestry & Wildlife covers the desert grazing systems this region actually depends on.
