From a department of zoology to an institute

The Cholistan Institute of Biological Sciences was established in 2025, upgrading the Department of Zoology created in 2018. It describes itself as an educational and research institute dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding in the field of biology.

Vision

A globally recognized center of excellence in biological sciences, fostering innovation, research, and leadership in biodiversity conservation.

Its mission is to deliver transformative education through integrated research, ethical leadership and laboratory experience — preparing graduates to make scientific contributions to global challenges.
