Physiology & Biochemistry
The Department of Physiology & Biochemistry provides a stimulating research and training environment focused on modern approaches to physiology and biochemistry. The department has highly qualified faculty with strong academic and research backgrounds and uses modern equipment and advanced technologies to support teaching and research.
Research activities cover Animal Physiology, Veterinary Sciences, Endocrinology, Reproductive Physiology, Neuroscience, Clinical Physiology & Biochemistry, Enzymology, Nutritional and Metabolic Biochemistry, Plant Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biomedical Sciences. The department also promotes collaboration with international research groups and other academic departments.
The department offers graduate and postgraduate study opportunities in Physiology and Biochemistry, with curriculum designed according to HEC guidelines. Programs include B.S. (Hons.) Biochemistry, M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Physiology and Biochemistry, supported by research-oriented faculty and developing laboratory facilities.
