Biography

Dr. Muhammad Moazam Jalees is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences,(CUVAS) Bahawalpur. He has completed his D.V.M in 2000 and his M.Sc (Hons.) in Veterinary Pathology from the Department of Pathology University of Agriculture Faisalabad (U.A.F). Dr. Moazam has earned his PhD in Veterinary Microbiology (U.A.F). In his doctoral studies he has worked on Epidemiology of Peste des petitis ruminants in small ruminants of Punjab. Further he worked on molecular characterization and Sero-servalence of Peste des Petitis Ruminants virus (PPRV). He has published 04 publications in nationally well reputed journals. His research interests are molecular epidemiology and genotype characterization of PPRV. As well as he submitted research projects in local funded agencies. Moreover he is working as an Estate management officer at Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur.

  2. Research interest using molecular and microbiological techniques in virus detection and seroprevalence.

Teaching, research, and service philosophy

  1. I believe in holistic development of students encompassing social and practical skills empowering students and  providing them with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to society.
  2. Teaching must be focusing more on emphasizing the cultivation of critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity rather than rote memorization.
  3. My method of teaching is more on student-centered methods that focus on individual student needs, abilities, and learning styles. This could involve active learning, group projects, and personalized instruction.
  4. Experiential Learning is the key point in students grooming as hands-on, experiential learning methods encourages practical application of knowledge. So, Technology Integration will be the key aspect of my research methodology and integration of technology in education to enhance learning experiences and prepare students for a technology-driven world.
  5. My Service philosophy is focusing more on combined collaborative work, mentoring, outreach, and involvement in professional organization.
