Dr. Muhammad Moazam Jalees

Assistant Professor
Dr. Muhammad Moazam Jalees is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences,(CUVAS) Bahawalpur. He has completed his D.V.M in 2000 and his M.Sc (Hons.) in Veterinary Pathology from the Department of Pathology University of Agriculture Faisalabad (U.A.F). Dr. Moazam has earned his PhD in Veterinary Microbiology (U.A.F). In his doctoral studies he has worked on Epidemiology of Peste des petitis ruminants in small ruminants of Punjab. Further he worked on molecular characterization and Sero-servalence of Peste des Petitis Ruminants virus (PPRV). He has published 04 publications in nationally well reputed journals. His research interests are molecular epidemiology and genotype characterization of PPRV. As well as he submitted research projects in local funded agencies. Moreover he is working as an Estate management officer at Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur.

- Worked as officer in charge (HOD) for three and half years 2018-2021 in department of Microbiology and initiated Four(04)years Bachelors Programme B.Sc (Hons.) and M. Phil degree programs in Applied Microbiology (morning & evening) at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

- Explored pathological changes induced by different mycotoxins in Japanese quails with using tools of hematology and histopathology.
- Research experience using PCR and competitive ELISA techniques in Research project of PPR virus molecular characterization and seroprevalence.
