Directorate of Institute of Continuing Education & Extension (ICE&E)
The Directorate of The Institute of Continuing Education and Extension (ICE&E) has been established in Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur with the main objective to uplift the rural Livestock farming community to control poverty and minimize the unemployment in rural youth thereby contributing to the national economic development.
To achieve these goals, the institute is working hard through offering various training programs for the education enhancement of livestock farmers and youth of the South Punjab and Pakistan of all ages and gender. The Experts of this institute are providing untiring emergency extension service to livestock farmers at their doorsteps and offering extension education through providing various skills and equipping them with hands-on-training(s). This Directorate trains to the livestock and poultry farmers, veterinary and para-veterinary staff in various disciplines of livestock production and management so that massive employment and business activities could be generated in the south part of the Punjab and throughout the country Pakistan in male and females of the area.
The Directorate of ICE&E comprises the requisite infrastructure, a conducive learning environment and highly qualified experienced faculty. Under the dynamic leadership the institute aspires to occupy the leading role not only in the region but also wants to achieve national and international recognition through its quality teaching, civic & social engagement and taking part in the economic development of the country. The Directorate is serving the country by developing human resource through offering various degree / diploma programs, short training courses, professional education and training(s) in the field of veterinary and extension education for the uplift of farmer community of the country. The institute promotes state of the art learning environment that cherishes gender and cultural equity, supports pursuit of knowledge, academic freedom and intellectual curiosity. It aims at socio-economic growth of the region by ensuring professional excellence, integrity and ethical conduct in the students with the help of diverse and innovative faculty.

Plans of Directorate ICE&E

• To exploit potential of livestock resources of Cholistan, South Punjab and Pakistan.
• To establish a state of the art institution to fulfill the basic needs  of Livestock farmers of South of the Punjab and Pakistan for education, research, disease diagnostics
• To undertake extension activities in the allied discipline(s) to benefit the communities by providing higher knowledge, expertise and skilled human resource to reduce unemployment.
• To satisfy the needs of expanding Livestock industry for the  export purpose of safe, Halal and healthy livestock products
• To bridge the gap between Industry/ farmers, academia and government institutes triad
